Hello guys, welcome back to another video for TireBase. In this video we're going to see the procedure of importing data in bulk into TireBase POS system.
Basically here we're going to see how to import customers, wheels, tires, parts, all of that we're going to be able to see what's the procedure from scratch.
So, ah, we'd recommend to do this procedure, ah, the data migration procedure, ah, the first time you import products into TireBase.
So eventually if you want to add any products, ah, ah, you can also do that, ah, use the, the data migration option, but just keep in mind that this option, the data migration option is going to overwrite all of the data, ah, that you have in the system.
And I don't mean like if you upload a, ah, a thousand, let's just say a thousand lines of, of product, and then you import, ah, later a, a, ah, 200 lines, ah, of product, all of those, a thousand are going to become 200.
No, what I, what I mean is if you, ah, imported a product in there and, and that product has, ah, let's just say a hundred tires, ah, and eventually you upload that, another file with that specific product, ah, that had, ah, a hundred tires and you uploaded 50, let's just say, in this new file, ah, the
system is not going to add 50 to those a hundred, ah, that already were there. What the system is going to do is it, it, it is going to override, ah, that amount.
And if you put any cost, ah, any, ah, stock different in, in that section, the system is going to override those.
Ah, just keep that in mind. Ah, so you can use this feature correctly. Okay. So to start a procedure, you should be able to go to the settings section, make sure to have permissions, but if you go to the, ah, settings section, you should be able to see the data migration, ah, module.
So in here is where we're going to find all of the specifics for each, ah, type of product. So we have tires inventory and we have tires specs.
So this one is going to help us import all tires. It's going to also help us, ah, override or, ah, yeah, override a, ah, stock or cost for products.
That's also going to happen in this section. And basically the procedure that would be, ah, in this case is you have to go to the green button, the export button, and then click on download template.
Okay. So once it's done, let's download. We're going to go here to desktop. Okay. In this case, ah, we're going to call it demo.
If we export this Excel file, the system is going to allow us to open it up. And what we're going to find in this Excel file, as you can see, is, ah, this columns that basically are, ah, required or mandatory, which is MFG, which is the manufacturer product number.
We have the brand, the size, and these three are like the, um, the most essential or the most important columns that we need to import your products.
You don't have to worry about all of these. You just have to worry about the ones that have the asterisk on top.
I would say also stock, if you want to add stock, here's where you can add that and cost if you want to add that as well.
Uh, but those are all the only columns that we would need. If you want to add any of these in, in your system, you can go ahead and do that.
Uh, but this is the only important, uh, these are the only important columns that we need to import into Tirebase.
Okay. So once you have your information in this case if I have let's just say a problem product. This is my product.
This is how you can, uh, uh, write the brand. Make sure to have, uh, the brands, uh, written exactly. So if you have Arroyo and then Arroyo, the system is going to consider a different brand from these.
So just make sure you have the Arroyo written correctly. And also for size, it would be 205 slash 55, uh, 55, R16.
This is the full size and this is the format that we need, uh, to import the size. But this is the, the only thing that you would need to start importing your products in case of tires.
So with that being said, we can just save the information. Also make sure to add stock and cost if you want to.
Uh, but once you save this file, in this case, I'm just going to delete it. Uh, but if you save that file, uh, you should be able to come back here, select the file from your desktop.
So you select the file and then you click open. Once you click open, the system is going to allow you to upload this file and it's going to give you a disclaimer, uh, for all of the products that you have currently.
So let me just show you what it would look like. So if I import this and I click upload, the system is going to give me this disclaimer.
later. Transcribed by And it's going to specify if you put cost. If the cost is not specified, the system is going to set it up to zero.
Also for stock, uh, in this case, the product manufacturer, um, uh, manufacturer product number cannot be empty in this case.
Uh, all of these disclaimers are going to help you import your product with accuracy. Uh, so you don't have any sort of issue, uh, by uploading that.
So you have to check the box of, I understand and agree to import that process and then you can continue the process.
But once it happens, the system is going to give you a log of procedures. So if you see the failed option here, you should be able to go, uh, all the way to the right.
And these are the current rows. So in this case, if you see 200, uh, uh, 2,161, uh, against 2,161, the system is going to eliminate your process.
You know, basically, uh, that it, uh, register every row. So if you see a skip rows here, so 10 out of 10, in this case, all the file was corrupted.
So we need to download the file and the system is going to give us a feedback of what we need to change in that file in case it failed.
Okay. And that's going to happen with the same, uh, procedure for wheels. If we want to do the same thing, we should go to export download template and follow the same procedure we did for tires.
Uh, just in that case, uh, the, uh, there are different columns that we need to consider also that works the same for parts.
Uh, but in this case, the parts option is just going to allow you to download that template so you can, uh, import all of your, your parts and the section for specs.
So as you can see, as tires and specs, wheel specs and parts specs, basically it's going to allow you to update information of, of parts.
So in this case, if you already imported all of your tires, let's just say you imported, uh, your tires, but the styles wrong, uh, first of all, you got to make sure you create that style, uh, before you import the new styles.
So you should be able to go to product and services and create the styles here. By adding them. And once you have those styles, you can then go ahead and use the option of tire specs.
So in this case, if you, for some reason, missed the style and you wrote it wrong in the import file, you can just go ahead in here, click the export button and download with products.
And then you can, you're going to be able to see a list of all your products, basically like this. And you should be able to upload each one of these.
So you can change the style, you can change the size, you can also change the description, the raw size, you can change all of these fields, basically, uhm, with that option, the tire specs option for all of your products.
And that works for tires as well, for wheels, for parts, and it would work the same. Also, that goes for custom tires.
Customer and location, if you want to import customers, you should be able to just click here and download the template and upload all of your customers line or column by column.
And that works the same for customers history, in case you want to have previous notes from your customers added in here, you can also do that the same.
But yeah, this is the data migration section, and this is where you can upload your products, your for each product type.
But let me know if you have questions regarding this procedure and have a good day.
